Before anything else, no. GapK.Com has nothing to do with GAP Kids. GapK.Com has nothing to do with actual brands, actually - GapK refers to Gap Kitsch. We only use the term "GAP" loosely here, as a colloquial term that pertains to apparel that can be used everyday. And kitsch, as most of us may know when we use the term "kitschy" pretty much refers to anything that is so tacky that it actually becomes trendy. Of course, "kitsch" need not be limited to tacky trends, and can be used to describe knock-offs instead (because the word is derived from a German term meaning "to knock something off").
GapK.Com is a site that is pretty much your guide to kitschy fashion - the best places to find kitschy apparel, what constitutes kitschy apparel, how to make kitschy apparel work for your everyday life, and other ways to make kitsch become part of your wardrobe. Here in GapK.Com, we believe that just because a piece of apparel is either tacky or a cheap knock-off, doesn't mean that they don't deserve to be worn - or can't be worn with style. If anything else, wearing kitschy outfits is the best way to keep life interesting. After all, if you can't wear something affordable or different on a regular basis, how full is your life, exactly?
